Modern Pivot Doors
Pivot Door PVT-715 Featured Project
Glenview Doors pivot model 715 is the perfect combination of simplistic, modern, and unique. The grooved chevron pattern of this door provides an element of style that really makes this door stand out. This understated design allows this door to maintain a clean and simple look while still drawing attention. All of Glenview Doors pivot doors are made using only the best pivot hinges from Fritsjurgen. These high-quality hinges allow for our pivot doors to open and close smoothly. Finished with a flat black pull bar, this was the perfect addition to keep that seamless, modern look.
Pivot doors feature a special pivot hinge that is located at the top and bottom of the door, instead of a traditional hinge that is off to the side. The use of this hinge allows Glenview Doors to produce units that are larger than most. Unlike most pivot doors, our double rabbeted jambs give us the capability to make doors that have increased insulation and security. The combination of these jambs with our pivot hinges makes these doors truly incredible. To top it all off, our pivot doors also utilize a multipoint locking system. This mechanism locks in three different places along the door, creating an even tighter lock with even more security.
Pivot Door PVT-B3 Featured Project
Glenview Doors pivot model B3 is the perfect door for a modern home that is looking for a grand entrance. To start, the horizontal stainless-steel inserts perfectly laid, compliment the horizontal grain of this mahogany wood in our espresso finish. In all our pivot doors, we use the highest quality pivot hinges from Fritsjurgens. This allows for smooth opening and closing of all our pivot doors. Finishing off, we have this beautiful, vertical, stainless steel, rectangular pull bar that perfectly complements this modern door. But behind all the beauty of this pivot door, comes a remarkable amount of technology.
The core technology behind our pivot doors is our pivot hinges. Unlike most doors whose hinges attach at the sides, a pivot hinge attaches at the top and the bottom of the door, allowing for far wider and far taller doors. This particular door is 4 feet wide and 8 feet tall. Glenview Doors has the capability of producing pivot doors even larger than this. While most pivot doors suffer from a lack of insulation and security, our pivot doors are made with double rabbeted jambs. This construction allows for a smooth, secure closure that helps to increase the insulation and security of our pivot doors. In addition to our double rabbeted jambs, all our pivot doors come equipped with a multipoint locking system. This system locks in 3 different places, the op, middle and bottom, ensuring a more secure home and a tighter lock.
Pivot Door PVT-B3-1SL Featured Project
This featured project is showing our pivot door model, PVT-B3. This pivot door model is a great option for a home with a large entrance that is looking for a modern door that stands out. PVT-B3 features stainless steel metal inlay that is spaced out perfectly. The combination of the metal inlay with the dark horizontal wood grain really draws in your attention. Shown with a vertical, stainless steel pull bar, this hardware is the perfect addition to match the metal inlay and really bring this door together. Glenview Doors utilizes extremely high quality Fritsjurgens pivot hinges in all our pivot doors.
While most door have hinges that attach the door at the side, pivot hinges are offset from the frame, attaching at the bottom and the top of the door. This offset hinge allows for taller, and wider doors to be manufactured without any issues. PVT-B3 shown above, also features a direct-set sidelight. The addition of a sidelight to these doors not only allows you to fill a larger opening, but also allows for natural light to flow into your home. Shown with our satin glass, this sidelight provides ample privacy while still allowing light to flow throughout the entryway. Glenview Doors manufactures our pivot doors by using a double rabbeted jamb. This jamb construction allows us to avoid the lack of security and insulation that most other pivot doors can have and provide a smooth, secure close. Lastly, our pivot doors also come equipped with a multipoint locking mechanism. This mechanism locks in three different places ensuring a tighter, more secure lock.
